Water quality in the Cretaceous aquifer system is important because this aquifer supplies water for many public and private wells in Alabama and Mississippi (Robinson, ). METHODS Well Network. The USGS annually monitors groundwater levels in thousands of wells in the United States. Groundwater level data are collected and stored as either discrete field-water-level measurements or as continuous time-series data from automated recorders. Data from some of the continuous record stations are relayed to USGS offices nationwide through telephone lines or by satellite . geological and water quality information for the State of Alabama. Several parking lot items were added to the March agenda for discussion, time permitting. The meeting then proceeded according to the March agenda. Attachment C provides the draft June agenda.
