This book is in need of some serious editing. I think it's reasonable to assume if you are reading this book, you are reading it because you want to learn how to solve physics problems.
But could you really learn if there were mistakes in the book. It would be hard, right. Well there are mistakes. Take for example problem /5(8). In total there are problems, e.g. there are 17 under Geometry, 12 under Mathematics and Gravity, and anywhere from 3 to 9 under Statics, Dynamics and collisions, Circular motion, Simple harmonic motion, Kinematics, Electricity, Optics, Heat, and Buoyancy & hydrostatics.
Conceptual Physics by Paul Hewitt. This book is a basic introduction to physics. Thinking Physics by Lewis Carroll Epstein. This book contains hundreds of conceptual problems. Only some of the problems focus on mechanics.

Popular Books on Physics (The Good Ones) When you're solving problems, working through textbooks, getting into the nitty-gritty details of each topic, it's so easy to lose the forest for the trees and forget why you even became inspired to study physics in the first place.
Problem-solving skills are clearly essential to success in a quantitative course in physics. More important, the ability to apply broad physical principles—usually represented by equations—to specific situations is a very powerful form of knowledge.
This book will teach you how to do physics problems. The explanation of not only how to do a problem but why we do it a certain way teaches you not just a collection of solved problems, but a collection of methods that can be used, modified and built upon to do other physics problems.
